So…one of my Facebook friends basically told me to never try to chat with her again and said that she ”HATES people and is really antisocial” and that “I’m not your kind of person and you’re not mine”.
Unfriended.

Plus, who cares what she looks like? People don’t critique men’s musical performances based on how they look! Someone should be liked because they are talented, not because of their appearance.
So, without further ado, the actual post:
I missed the actual SNL episode, but caught a few clips online of Daniel Radcliffe being adorable and awesome. Then, I was directed to the Lana Del Rey videos because…everyone was talking about how terrible she was. Skeptical, I clicked on the link and was amazed that everyone was right.
No one shared my opinion on other underwhelming SNL performances. I disliked Katy Perry’s performance and Florence Welch’s performance, but then again I find their music underwhelming in general. But Lana Del Rey was truly terrible. I forced myself to sit through three minutes and forty-eight seconds of her singing about “JAMES DUHHHH” and weak high notes. I found myself wondering why SNL chose her. After all, there are so many other musicians out there that are more talented that already have albums out! What about First Aid Kit? What about Oh Land? I was mystified. I clicked on the music video for her song “Video Games” and was unimpressed. The music video was good in general, but she just doesn’t have presence. Like Kristen Stewart, she is limited to just one facial expression, and it grew a bit boring to watch her pout the entire time. Her video “Blue Jeans” was more interesting to watch, although her facial expressions do not change. But something was way off. For one thing, she sounds completely different than she did in her “Video Games” video! In her video for “Blue Jeans” she sounds like a cross between No Doubt-era Gwen Stefani and…I guess herself.
Overall, I find her very unoriginal and annoying. Very processed and image-oriented. Sorry, but pronouncing “James Dean” as “JAMES DUHHHH” does not make you original or talented.
So, she wore some cat eye glasses and a floral skirt. Woo-hoo.
I’m going to go listen to some people with good voices now. Maybe some First Aid Kit or Oh Land.
Bye guys.
*I don’t care if this makes me sound like a hipster or whatever. I hate the term hipster. I despise it. I despise it because it basically insinuates that if you like anything you’re uncool or pretentious. Or it insinuates that if you have strong feelings about something a lot of other people like than you are uncool or pretentious. Whatever. If this makes me a hipster than good. I’d rather be a hipster than be someone who thinks that a girl who describes herself as “the gangster Nancy Sinatra” and “Lolita lost in the hood” is a really talented person. I don’t like grown women that infantilize themselves. Sorry. Plus, considering that this is her first album…I think it’s a little soon for her to be comparing herself to Nancy Sinatra. In any way.
